IAQAA Code of Conduct
In recognition of their obligation to the public and the profession, IAQA Australia (IAQAA) are required to
comply with the following Articles:
I/We will be honest and forthright in advertising.
I/We will provide services only after obtaining the necessary bonding and licensing required on a
particular project or within a particular jurisdiction.I/We will utilise the services and products of those who possess specialised skills, tools, or trades not
possessed by us when circumstances call for work to be done which we are unable to perform.I/We will stay abreast of new developments in technology, tools of the trade, building codes,
industry standards and guidelines, and any other codes or information that directly affects our work.I/We will perform services only after the applicable, generally accepted industry standards of care to
be applied have been disclosed.I/We will follow such standards in work performed.
I/We will accurately represent the status of our membership within IAQAA.
I/We will comply with the Rules of the Association.
I/We will comply with all Federal, State, and local laws, regulations and licensing requirements
applicable to our company.I/We will promptly and courteously address any and all customer or consumer complaints and or
inquiries and will fully explain the services, testing procedures and practices followed by our
company in dealing with specific problems.
Conditions of Membership
Fees are paid for period of 1 calendar year from the joining date. I understand that it is not possible to reimburse fees more than 10 business days after joining, being the IAQAA concessionary cooling off period in line with Australian Law. Upgrades or downgrades in membership type will result in charging or reimbursing pro-rata the difference in rates of the respective annual fees for the old and new membership level.
If it is necessary for the Committee to revoke a member’s registration due to failure to comply with the Codes of Conduct set out as above, no fee reimbursement will be provided for the remainder of that annual period.

Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy covers the collection and use of personal information that may be collected by us on any occasion you interact with IAQAA, such as when you visit our website or social medias pages or office, use our on line material and services.
Please take a moment to read the following to learn more about our information practices, including what type of information is gathered, how the information is used and for what purposes, to whom we disclose the information, and how we safeguard your personal information. Your privacy is a priority at IAQAA.
Collecting and storing your information
The personal information we receive is stored through MembershipWorks, a WordPress integrated membership system designed purposefully to ensure security of that information. It is accessible only by approved IAQAA persons appointed by IAQAA Committee to manage membership, sponsorship and events.
There are several situations in which your personal information may help us give you better service. For example, we may ask for your personal information when you’re discussing an event or membership issue on the phone or face-to-face with any staff or, downloading an online subscription registering for a webinar or subscribing to a newsletter At such times, the information we may collect includes:
Your name, business address, phone numbers, email address and contact preferences.
Your occupation/job role function.
To keep your account secure, we do not collect credit card information over the telephone, and any payments must be made either through our secure website which interacts with Stripe or through direct transfer to our bank account.
By providing your personal information you consent to its use for the following purposes:
Providing event information.
Assessing your interest in our Association direction.
Developing and improving our services to align with our members interests.
Maintaining CPD schemes.
In addition, your information allows us to send you direct marketing communications including announcements, special offers, and training events that you might like to hear about.
We always give you the option of electing not to receive such notifications and an unsubscribe link is provided through all our correspondence in accordance with legal requirements in Australia.
IAQAA will take reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete and up to date for the purposes for which it is used. Members can access their personal information that we hold and correct the details you have provided at no charge.

Sharing of personal information
IAQAA will not knowingly share your information with a third party without your permission. In the event that a person requests contact details for a member, we will take their details and pass them onto the member, not the converse.
You can elect to have your name included or removed from our online Member Directory when you join.
